Tech Alert: SoundCloud

Reading time: 1 min

People often think of online content in terms of visuals: riveting text, stunning photos, unbelievable graphics. But what about sound? ScribbleLive customers are always finding new and innovative ways to use the platform and many have expanded into the audio realm (I even wrote a blog post about it). And one of the easiest ways to get your audio files into a liveblog is by using SoundCloud.

[soundcloud url=”″ params=”” width=” 100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Once you register for a free SoundCloud account, you can begin uploading your audio files. Once they’re up, you can grab the iframe code they provide, put it into the Basic field in the backend of your liveblog and it will automatically render as a player. Couldn’t be simpler, right? Right.

Here’s an example of a liveblog I put together about a radio documentary I made in journalism school (seems like a lifetime ago).
