New ScribbleLive feature: Drag and drop media files to publish

Reading time: 1 min

When it comes to real-time, every second counts. Like professional athletes, our developers are always looking for ways to skim a few off our record. We figure every unnecessary click is one more step between your reporting and your audience. With that in mind, our newest feature lets you skip a step entirely.

ScribbleLive already lets you drop in a photo URL, so you don’t have to save a file from the internet to upload it. We’ve done something similar with photo, video and audio files already on your computer: You can now drag and drop files directly onto the liveblog.

Chrome and Firefox users can simply  grab a file — or highlight a bunch of them — and drag the whole lot onto the upload space that appears at the top of the blog.

Scribble will automatically upload, resize and publish the files. You can still add captions (another recently-released feature lets you add formatting and hyperlinks to captions).

You can read more about the new feature on our brand new knowledge base.
