3) convert - how many people actually comment, commit, and purchase
SEO basics:
Track > Identify > Adapt > Maximize > Monitor > Track
" The great thing is that everything is measurable"
It is a never ending process of testing and refining
You can also track what your competition is doing. Pick 10 Competitors and follow what they do. What is getting them placed and ranked?
Two areas:
On Page:
- Title
- Content
- Image Alt Tags
- Keyword Density
- Clean layout and site navigation
Off Page Optimization
Mustafac Tameez is up next, talking about Social Media
Talking about the history of computing and how far we have come in a short timespan.
People who are not used to social media are used to being able to have more control over their message.
Mustafa Tameez "People don't understand why you would want to share who you are talking with and where you are at, at any given time. Won't competitors use this against you?"
Mustafa Tameez "A collaborate concept is new to people who are used to Command and Control. People who are new to the workforce naturally want to share everything and get the customer to help drive the business."
Mustafa Tameez: Different mediums operate under different rules. Facebook comments tend to be more civil, because your name/face/online reputation are attached to it, whereas YouTube allows anonymous comments and they tend to be more raucous.
Mustafa Tameez - Talking about how Wikipedia works (from a community and editing standpoint)
Mustafa Tameez: You can still find some opportunity in social media situations where you encounter negativity
Mustafa Tameez at the TiE Online Marketing Forum: Social Media networks exist at a new level of honesty
Mustafa Tameez: Wants audience to walk away with the understanding that to understand Social Media, you have to spend time with it. Share more, so that others will grow their relationship with you, but don't share so much that you regret it later.
