GOOD MORNING: Greetings and Happy Valentine's Day from PPC Newlands in Cape Town for the 5th and final One Day International between South Africa and England. The series is level at 2-2 and the Proteas will be hoping to use some of the momentum gained from their last two consecutive victories to close out the series. The South Africans were in a similar position against India last year and prevailed handsomely in the final ODI - Can they do the same here today?
WEATHER: The sun is trying to make its presence felt. The big covers are off, the teams are out warming up and we might just get to start on time. Will keep you posted.
COMMENTS: Remember that you can send me your comments and questions via Twitter, using #SSCricket or by using the comment tab at the top of this feed.
TOSS: South Africa have won the toss and have elected to field first.
SOUTH AFRICA: Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock (wk), Faf du Plessis, AB de Villiers (c), Rilee Rossouw, Farhaan Behardien, David Wiese, Chris Morris, Kagiso Rabada, Kyle Abbott, Imran Tahir.
ENGLAND: Alex Hales, Jason Roy, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan (c), Jos Buttler (wk), Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Stuart Broad, Reece Topley.
15 TO GO: With a quarter of an hour before play, the sun is beating down on the ground but there are still quite a few clouds around. However, we should get a full game in as the weather man says that there is no rain scheduled for the afternoon.
POLL ANSWER: The correct answer is 0. South Africa have won all four ODI's against England at Newlands. In 1996, SA won by 6 runs and then narrowly escaped with 1-run win in 2000. In 2005, the Proteas triumphed by 108 runs and then bettered that in 2009 with a 112-run thumping.
HERE THEY COME: The teams are making their way out onto the park for the National Anthems.
SERIES STATS: Joe Root is the leading run scorer with 324 runs but Quinton de Kock is just two runs back on 322. Alex Hales is third with 271 runs. Kyle Abbott and Jason Topley are the leading wicket takers with seven apiece and KG is on 6 and Imran Tahir is on 5.
LET'S GO: Kyle Abbott will open the bowling from the Kelvin Grove end and Jason Roy will take first strike. It's all square in the series and everything to play for. Here we go.....
@xolanimkhize: Hi Xolani, there are clouds about but the weather man says that we should get a full game in today. But whether we can believe him is another story. I do not think rain will be a factor today.
OFF THE MARK: Abbott gets England off the mark with a wide down the leg side but then gets Roy edging past the slips and down to 3rd man for a single.
PLAYED: Abbott strays onto the legs and Hales whips it through mid-wicket. Tahir cuts the ball off but the batsmen come through for 3 runs.
FIRST OVER: A decent first over for England with the score on 6/0. Hales 3* and Roy 2*.
KG-B: Kagiso Rabada has the other new ball in his hand and is steaming in from the Wynberg end.
MISSED: Roy goes for a big drive against KG but the ball misses the edge and De Kock gathers behind.
GOOD LINE: Abbott is keeping to a good line at the moment with England on 10/0.
GOOD COMEBACK: After conceding 6 runs in his first over, Abbott concedes just a single off his second over.
SURPRISE: AB makes a bold call and brings Imran Tahir into the attack after just 4 overs. Tahir replaces Abbott from the Kelvin Grove End. England are 12/0.
OUT: Tahir traps Roy in front! The ball pitched on leg stump, bounced and hit Roy on the roll. A vociferous appeal from Tahir and the umpire took his time before lifting the finger.
NEW BOWLER: Chris Morris is into the attack now, replacing KG from the Wynberg End. England are 15/1 with Roy out for 8.
SHOT: Hales dispatches Morris' first ball through mid-wicket for 4 runs. On the legs and whipped through the leg side.
QUICK SINGLE: Hales pushes Morris wide of AB at mid-off and sets off for a quick single. AB shies at the stumps but misses. The crowd goes "oooohhh"
PLAYED: On the pads from Morris and Joe Root is off the mark with a boundary through the leg side.
TOP EDGE: Short ball from Morris and Root doesn't deal with it well. The ball takes a top edge and despite the slips running back, the ball lands safely.
FOUR: Down the leg side form Morris and Root just helps it on its way past a diving De Kock and to the fine leg boundary for 4 runs. This is an expensive over from Morris.
DOUBLE: England doubled their score from that Morris over. England were 15/1 after 5 overs and are now 30/1 after 6 overs.
CHANGE OF ENDS: Rabada replaces Tahir at the Kelvin Grove end. And it is a bad start for KG as he strays down the leg side and Hales clips the ball fine for four runs.
CLIPPED: Morris almost picks up a wicket as Root clips the bowler down the leg side but Rilee Rossouw dives full-length at leg-slip to try and catch the ball. It goes just wide of his fingers tips and the batsman picks up 2 runs.
DROPPED: Amla puts down a sitter! A great ball from Morris and Root edges to Amla who lets it go through his hands and his legs.
GOT HIM?: Morris gets the edge of Hales and the umpire raises his finger! Hales has gone upstairs and the replays shows that the ball is about a light-year away from the bat. That is a poor decision from the umpire!
EDGED: KG finds the edge of Hales' bat but the ball flies wide of the slips.
FOUR: KG drops one short and Root swivels on the hook and the ball goes past the man at short fine leg and to the boundary for 4 runs to bring up the 50 for England.
