The worst thing we have in the EU now is youth unemployment.
Europe has fought back in the last 5 years. We realised we had to fight it together.
Do we talk it up or talk it down? Do we have confidence?
We owe it to our 26 million unemployed people, especially our young people.President Barroso focuses on the need to keep going towards economic recovery, and working together for growth and jobs.
The current level of unemployment is socially unacceptable.
Europe alone cannot fight climate change, but we must lead the effort.
We need to step up out game in implementing the MFF.
The biggest risk we have is political. Lack of stability or lack of determination. Strong and convincing decisions have an important impact.
Next year, it will be one century since the war that tore Europe apart.
We should be ashamed to be proud. We should look forward to the future with the wisdom we gained from the past.
The proposal to put chemical weapons beyond use is potentially a positive development.
The EU needs to be big on big things and smaller on small things
MEPs will be at the forefront of the political debate. Which picture of Europe will voters be presented with? The myth or the fact?
It is up to us to make the case for Europe.
