WELCOME: Greetings and salutations from the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur for the all-important Group 1 match between South Africa and the West Indies.
STATUS: This match is vital to both sides as a win for the West Indies will catapult them into the semi-finals while a loss for the South Africans will mean that they will be hoping that the match on Saturday between Sri Lanka and England is either a no result or a slim victory for the Lankans otherwise their tournament is over.
BREAKING NEWS: Pakistan have crashed out of the World T20 after losing by 21 runs to Australia. The final game in Group 2 is between Australia and India with both sides sitting on 4 points. The winner of that game will join New Zealand in the semi finals.

WHO WILL PLAY?: With JP Duminy injuring his hamstring against Afghanistan, the likelihood of Aaron Phangiso coming into the lineup in the spin-friendly conditions of Nagpur, the selectors will be scratching their heads with the bowling makeup! Will Steyn come back in - and for who? Morris? Wiese? Could Rilee Rossouw come into the reckoning as well?
@AarifMohamed: Interesting thought Aarif. But Wiese's variation on slower pitches is better than Morris. Tough one for the selectors!
STATS: South Africa and the West Indies have played two matches prior to this one in World T20's with the Proteas being victorious on both occasions. But South Africa's bowling has been a cause for concern, failing to defend 229 against England and then struggling to contain Afghanistan.
PITCH: The ball will turn! The pitch looks better than the one that New Zealand and India played on but Faf du Plessis reckons it will turn square. Shaun Pollock states that the captain who wins the toss should put the pads on and bat first.
TOSS: The West Indies have WON the toss and have elected to BOWL first!
SOUTH AFRICA: Quinton de Kock (wk), Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis (c), AB de Villiers, David Miller, Rilee Rossouw, Chris Morris, David Wiese, Aaron Phangiso, Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir.
WEST INDIES: Johnson Charles, Chris Gayle, Marlon Samuels (c), Andre Fletcher, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell, Darren Sammy, Carlos Brathwaite, Samuel Badree, Sulieman Benn.
POLL: The poll will close 10 minutes before the start of play so get your votes in!
POLL ANSWER: The only players to have scored a century in T20's in matches between South Africa and the West Indies are Chris Gayle, Faf du Plessis and Morne van Wyk. The South African captain has posted the highest score between these two foes, notching 119 in Johannesburg in January 2015 while Gayle managed 117 at the same ground but 8 years earlier. Van Wyk smashed an unbeaten 114 in Durban in January 2015 while AB de Villiers has managed a top-score of just 25 against the Caribbean side!
ANTHEMS: The teams are making their way out onto the field along with their mascots to line up for the National Anthems.
RIGHT, HERE WE GO: The Anthems are done, the Windies are taking up their positions with QdK and the Mighty # coming in to bat.
FIRST OVER: Hashim Amla will be taking first strike and the Windies have opted for the spin of Samuel Badree to open proceedings.
SINGLE: Amla knocks the first ball square and trots through for a single to get off the mark.
APPEAL: De Kock knocks the ball into the covers and the batsmen set off for a single. Amla is sluggish as the ball is whipped in......
OUT: Amla is run out at the strikers end by Ramdin. Hesitation from Amla as Andre Russell was quick to throw the ball to Ramdin who whipped the bails off. Not a good start for the Proteas. Faf du Plessis is the new man in. SA1/1.
OFF THE MARK: Faf knocks the ball down the ground for a single to get off the mark.
NEW OVER: Andre Russell, the man who assisted in the Amla dismissal, will bowl the second over.
BEATEN: Russell produces a beauty first-up and beats Du Plessis outside the off stump with a ball that moves away slightly.
BOOM: Du Plessis takes a little shuffle down the track and launches Russell over extra-cover for the first SIX of the innings. SA 10/1
RUNNING: Excellent running between De Kock and Du Plessis as faf knocks the ball into the leg-side and the weight of the shot meant the batsmen could sprint back for the second run.
OUT: Faf du Plessis pops the ball straight to Sulieman Benn at mid-off but the umpires have gone upstairs to check. Very close call here.....AND HE IS OUT!
SURPRISE: Rilee Rossouw, playing his first match of the World T20, comes in to bat ahead of AB de Villiers.
SHOT: De Kock leans forward and drives Chris Gayle through the covers and to the boundary for four runs.
OUT: Rossouw hits the ball tamely to Andre Russell at point! That was such a poor, tame shot from Rilee. Just two balls and gone for a duck. SA in all sorts of trouble on 20/3 with AB the new man in.
TWO: De Kock pulls Russell towards mid-wicket where Brathwaite cuts the ball off but the batsmen come through for two runs.
CHANTING: The Nagpur crowd is chanting "AB, AB, AB"
SHOT: After a short-ball wide from Russell, the bowler pitches it up and AB punches the ball straight back past the bowler for four runs. Lovely way to get off the mark.
BEATEN: De Kock goes back to a length ball from Badree and is beaten.
BOOM: Quinton de Kock uses his feet, comes down the track and launches Badree back over his head for a massive SIX! SA 34/3.
NEW BOWLER: Carlos Brathwaite replaces Andre Russell.
QUICK SINGLE: AB knocks the ball behind point and sets off for a quick single as Brathwaite is bowling a tight line.
GOOD STOP: Full toss from Brathwaite and De Kock smacks the ball towards backward point but Andre Fletcher pulls off a good stop to save three runs.
BIG BEN: Sulieman Benn is into the attack now, replacing Samuel Badree who has conceded 12 runs in his two overs.
POWER PLAY: South Africa have struggled in the first six overs, ending the Power Play on 39 for three.
QUIET: After 7 overs, South Africa are 44/3 with Benn conceding five runs in his first over.
NEW BOWLER: Darren Sammy making the changes like a baby's nappy. Dwayne Bravo into the attack now.
OUT: Dwayne Bravo clean bowls AB de Villiers! Slower ball from Bravo and somehow the ball made its way through the gate and smashed into the stumps of AB de Villiers, who departs for 10 off 12 balls and SA are 46/4 after 7.4 overs. David Miller is the new man in.
BEATEN: Bravo bowls a beautiful slower ball that beats Miller and also just misses the stumps. The ball actually went under the bat.
