CRICKET DESK: South Africa and Australia begin their final preparations for the World T20 with a three-match T20 series. Both teams will be looking to fine tune their teams ahead of the global showpiece while also looking to build some winning momentum.
CRICKET DESK: The day has begun rather well for South Africa with the women's team recording their first T20 win over the West Indies.
WEATHER UPDATE: It is boiling in Durban and the good news is that no rain is predicted for tonight's game which is something of a rarity for a cricket match in Durban.
PITCH REPORT: Both teams wanted a wicket that would be similar to India conditions ahead of the World T20 and, if the womens' match was anything to go by, then they have got it. The pitch is pretty slow and low but there looks to be plenty of turn.
AUSTRALIA TEAM NEWS: Peter Nevill, the wicketkeeper, and young leg-spinner Adam Zampa will both make their T20 debuts for Australia today.
SOUTH AFRICA NEWS: Skipper Faf du Plessis went on record this week saying that AB de Villiers will open the batting in the T20 World Cup which means that one of Quinton de Kock or Hashim Amla may well miss out on the playing XI. Du Plessis also indicted that SA would put out their strongest team today which should give us some indication of how the starting XI for the World Cup will look. There is also a fit-again Dale Steyn to fit into the team.
TOSS: Australia have won the toss and will bat first.
SOUTH AFRICA TEAM NEWS: There is no Dale Steyn today but Quinton de Kock will play for SA. There is no Hashim Amla for the hosts.
AUSTRALIA TEAM: Usman Khawaja, Aaron Finch, Steven Smith (capt), David Warner, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Marsh, Peter Nevill (wk), Andrew Tye, John Hastings, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Adam Zampa.

@MikeLarry: Not sure Mike. I'm afraid I just do the writing. But I'm sure the technical guys are working on it.
FIRST OVER: Both teams seem rather up for this contest. Usman Khawaja will face the first ball, to be bowled by Kagiso Rabada. Two slips in place. Khawaja clips the first ball through midwicket for two runs. Finch then bashes a full delivery back over the bowler's head for four. Australia 8-0 after one over.
NEW-BALL DUTIES: Abbott is on for a bowl and Khawaja squeezes a delivery past point for four. There is very little pace and bounce in this wicket. Australia 14-0 after two overs.
WICKET: Finch is in the mood and he hoists a Rabada delivery way over long-on for six! Khawaja then pulls a short ball straight to Wiese at deep square leg! Australia 23-1 in the third over.
FOUR: Warner slashes a wide ball from Abbott over backward point for four. Australia 30-1 after four overs.
SPIN: JP Duminy is on to bowl the fifth over. Finch smears Duminy's first delivery over deep midwicket for six! Two sixes in a row from Finch as he rocks back before heaving the ball over cow corner. Three sixes in a row as Finch hoists the ball way over deep midwicket! Finch lofts the fourth ball over extra cover for four. The fifth ball is a dot and the crowd gives an ironic cheer. Finch scores 24 runs off the over and Australia are 54-1
BOUNDARIES: Morris is on to bowl and Warner pulls a delivery down to long leg for four. Warner goes down on one knee before lofting a delivery over mid-off for four more. Australia are on the charge as Warner pulls a short ball over midwicket for six! Australia 69-1 after their six powerplay overs.
WICKET: Wiese strikes with his first ball as Warner slices a delivery straight to Duminy as backward point. Australia 69-2 in the seventh over. That's a good over from Wiese with a wicket and just two runs conceded.
WICKET: Tahir bowls a full toss first up and Finch smashes the ball straight to Rabada at deep midwicket! SA right back in this game. Finch is out for 40 and Australia are 71-3 in the eighth over.
Tahir then finds the outside edge of Maxwell's bat with his first delivery but keeper De Kock puts the chance down!
SHOT: Maxwell gets up on his toes before punching a Wiese delivery past point for four.
SLAP: Maxwell drags a Tahir delivery over midwicket for four to take Australia to 89-3 after 10 overs.
WICKET: Wiese is bowling superbly and he has his second wicket as Smith runs a slow short ball straight to keeper Quinton de Kock. Australia are 91-4 in the 11th over.
WICKET: Maxwell clips a Morris delivery down to fine leg for four. Maxwell departs next ball as he top edges a pull shot and is well caught by Du Plessis at mid-off. Australia slip to 97-5.
100 UP: Nevill runs a Wiese delivery to short third man for a single to take Australia to 100-5 in the 13th over. Wiese ends with the superb figures of 2-16 off four overs.
