Noel Whelan and Noel Dempsey??? Our cup runneth over in FF'ers this evening!
Question: 'Should the Govt freeze the assets of Orders that refuse to pay?'
Dempsey, dunno if he's the man FF will want taking these questions?
Also on the panel - barrister Noel Whelan
Varadkar is going to wind up Dempsey something serious...
What crime did Fergus Finlay commit in a prior life?
Fianna Fáil and morals..
Noel Dempsey assures us that nobody in Fianna Fail has said anything morally over the weekend. I believe him.
can't stop watching Varadkar's secret hand language
The last thing most of these survivors want is any more help from the Orders..Varadkar questions place of CORI in social partnership - not the first time that's been questioned!
Whelan not coming across as stooge tonight.
Noel Whelan is making sense. The Church already disclosed all their assets though, back in 2002 when the deal was being arranged; however they refused to make it public, because it was 'commercially sensitive'.
"With all due respect" - "I am about to say something in a tone of dismissive contempt"
Noel Dempsey's eyebrows couldn't possibly get any higher.
Did the church really say the value of property was "commercially sensitive" They've stuffed the assets into Trusts all over the place since
I don't think the debate should be so focused on the financial side of things - should be looking at the role of the Catholic Church in schools, hospitals, etc.
Noel Dempsey has inherited the FF 'hurt look' from Barry Andrews and Brian Lenihan. It is the mask for fury of power being questioned.
@dermotcasey: Yeah, I'll dig up the link for you.
Christine agree on wider debate on Education etc. Of course that would take some seriously grown up thinking by our politicians. Heard Micheal Martin talk about how people chose "religious education", when the only choice is white bread not much choice
Very strong stuff
This is not a pre approved comment. This is reality breaking out.
Noel Dempsey has been ripped to small pieces and thrown in his moral cesspool
Takes deep breath...
silence.
Nowhere to hide. Finally. Pity Cowen not on program
Ferryhouse was 12 miles from where I grew up. Told it was a place for "bad boys"
The format is shattered now. I don't think I can watch the routine reassert itself again. It seems disrespectful.
