This year's Miss World Philippines is being held at the Manila Hotel Tent. TV5 will broadcast it later.
The winner of tonight's coronation night will represent the Philippines in the Miss World Pageant on August 16 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia China.
She will vie for the crown where more than 113 candidates from all over the world will compete to be proclaimed the winner as the most beautiful woman in the world.
Miss World prized itself in being the biggest and the longest running pageant in the world, established in 1951 with headquarters in London, England.

In 2011, the Philippines finished strong with Gwendoline Ruias clinching the First Runner-Up place at the Miss World pageant held in London, England

Contestant #18 Rufaida Babudin introduced herself as an indigenous person from Palawan.
She comes from the tribe of Molbog, a Muslim minority living mostly on Balabac Island. She describes her father as a tribe farmer and her mother, a tribe housewife. She speaks only Bisaya and Molbog, but learning other languages, including Filipino and English.

Rappler's Voltaire Tupaz, who has also covered the Binibining Pilipinas coronation night last April, reports that the mood at the Manila Hotel Tent is ecstatic but formal and "more intimate."
Only about 500 are at the live event.
Host Ruffa Guiterrez just shared that when she was a competing in the 1993 Miss World pageant in South Africa, a fellow contestant hid her shoes.
She stressed that it is very competitive at the international level.
Contestant #17 April Love Jordan is a crowd favorite. Loud cheers greeter her when she came out to during the evening gown portion.

Contestant #22 QUEENIERICH REHMAN is a part-Morrocan who was most memorable for her singing/beatboxing during the talent portion. She has earned the Miss Philippines Prudential, Miss World Traveler and the highly coveted Miss Photogenic award. She has also competed in the 2011 Binibing Pilipinas contest, won the Best in Swimsuit and was among the Top 15. She is a Psychology college student at the Assumption College, an avid basketball player.

Pilipinas, Mutya ng Pilipinas, Miss Philippines Earth and Miss World Philippines.

Contestant #16 BRENNA CASSANDRA GAMBOA is Fil-Am who shuttles between the US and the Philippines. This Nursing Degree graduate placed among the Top 10 in the 2012 Miss Philippines-Earth contest and was the World Super Model 2011 1st runner up. She won Miss Manny O special award during this Miss World Philippines pageant night.
