having trouble with coveritlive for liveblogging, so we will try scribblelive and see if that helps.
Duncan Green is up now
www.oxfamblogs.org
Duncan: when you ask people in poverty to describe it they talk about inequality and fear, not income.
Duncan: We have to get to an economy where each person produces half a ton of carbon, which is 1/40th of what the average American produces, 1/8th for Chinese.
The issue in developing economies is commodity prices, trade and manufacturing, remittances - sudden fall from overseas workers and migrant budgets, Aid budgets - can it be sustained with pressure for money at home.
Everyone is just getting back from lunch so we will be back up live soon.
