It's a new season of 'Dancing With the Stars' and even though the cast lacks A-list star power, we'll watch it anyway because it's fun, silly and just what we need at the start of a new work week. In all honesty, Andy is the big draw for me. With everything that guy's been through over the past few years, he is a wild card.
Okay, guys - show about to start. Season 16 - here we go. Entertain us.
Kellie Pickler is still rocking that pixie hair style - and it still looks good.
Anyone else sick of Sean Lowe?
There's my man Andy in tops and tails.
Whether these women win or lose - I'm in awe they can do any kind of dancing in those heels. Respect.
Kellie Pickler...is also a dancer. She's surprisingly good.
Consensus from the judges: fun, very interesting, fantastic. Kellie also is lauded for her torso movement. Success! She starts the show off right. 7-7-7 or 21/30.
Just saw the sneak peek of things to come: Andy Dick cries. I guess this means he's taking this competition seriously.
Boxers have good coordination and KIND of dance in the ring - so I predict Victor Ortiz will not embarrass himself doing the foxtrot.
The guys are never as flashy as the girls. But Victor wasn't half bad. He was working his 'boyish charm' and 'Latino passion.'
@Diane - Yeah, he's taking this season off. He might be back, though. Probably just wants a break.
Well, so far guys, no one has been horrible. No one has fallen either. I feel like I need some of that to fully enjoy an episode.
A devilish 6-6-6 score for Victor. 18/30
Here comes the soap star Ingo Rademacher. Not a General Hospital Fan (I'm more of a Y&R girl) so I really don't know much about this guy.
Oh, they're practicing dance in the water - just like Dirty Dancing!
Ingo really taking advantage of his biceps for this dance. Holy lifting.
Again - not embarrassing. He looked a little like a Capoeira dancer. Very athletic - but, yeah, not a lot of dancing.
Okay, guys, Lisa Vanderpump from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is up next doing the foxtrot - but did you know she's also an '80s music video star too? Watch this one during the commercial break:
@Virginia - Yeah, you're not the first person to complain about that. Unfortunately, this will be a Max-less season.
Ingo gets a 7-6-7 score. 20/30. Pickler still in the lead.
Vanderpump getting it from the judges. She's just 'acceptable' not exceptional.
@Virginia - Oh no!!!! It's not even half over! You're not staying for Andy Dick?!!!! (I know, I know)
Jiggy was great. Vanderpump was kind of boring.
Lisa Vanderpump with the second 6-6-6 score of the night.
D.L. Hughley - doing the cha cha cha to Flo Rida?
I think his dancing partner did most of the real dancing, though.
Judges: He 'destroyed the cha cha cha'. Under rehearsed. Yikes. Some of the comments. I agree. Go back to the drawing board.
And we have our first really BAD dance of the night.
It had to happen at some point - but D.L. is taking it with a sense of humour.
D.L. was really stiff on that one. He might be feeling a bit too macho to do the necessary twirls, shakes and spins to last long in this competition.
