pbwiki - easy to set up, for people to collaborate on content
by gerrykirk at 6/23/2009 1:33:19 PM
Social Media & Web 2.0 what's next? She highly recommends Ning for setting up your own community for social networking (your own BRANDED community!)

Hootsuite is a free tool that allows you to measure all the traffic that's happening on your Twitter account. Can also have you have multiple people log in and update your Twitter account. Great tip!
by yling at 6/23/2009 1:34:30 PM
Amber: provides stats on where ppl are from who click on your links.

Another great tool with similar features to HootSuite - PeopleBrowsr, my personal fave -
peoplebrowsr.comby gerrykirk at 6/23/2009 1:36:00 PM
ADA - American Dental Association posting short vids on tips for healthy teeth on YouTube.
by gerrykirk at 6/23/2009 1:36:42 PM
HomeDepot has huge how-to channel of content on YouTube, promotes brand indirectly.
by gerrykirk at 6/23/2009 1:37:20 PM
The ADA and HomeDepot are examples of how to become an "expert" in the community and at the same time, promote their brand.
by yling at 6/23/2009 1:37:24 PM
Bottom line: use social media to provide *value* to the audience you want to reach.

Buzz words for 2009 & beyond: Geolocation, Real Time Web, Live viral video, personalization
by yling at 6/23/2009 1:38:14 PM
Geolocation: allows you to tell people in your network where you are, maybe it will alert you and let you know that you can get your mocha frappucino around the corner. Or let's your network follow where you are!
