We have started the first race of the regatta is underway
Ken Wallace wins the first race. Looking very comfortable
Just a few normal teething issues in getting the results up

Thanks Geoff. The progressions are still being worked out due to a a few scratchings that caused errors but they are going out on the board now and I will see if I can get a copy
Hi Anneke, if this linkc -http://sprint.canoe.org.au/site/canoeing/ac/downloads/2010/Sprint/results/National-Championships/Day1/resultsByRace/index.html doesn't work I am not sure I'm sorry
Anneke, sorry it is not working for you. I am sure you have already tried it but all I can think of is hitting the refresh button
Geoff, draws for the Semis are now online.
The ais are vidoeing the races on the far bank. They must be clocking up a fair few miles over the 5 days
The first win of the day from Lane 9
That is the lunch break. It has been running very smoothly here this morning. Racing resumes at 1pm
Just waiting on the start of the WK4 18 Final. This is the first final of the regatta
Lane 4 Polson, Danielle/Thomson, Emma/St Hill, Eliza/Salih, Nat win fairly comfortably
although there is no such thing in the 1000m
Will find out
Race 44 and 45 have been combined to be a direct final tomorrow. Race 71.
The temperature has really cooled down here. I have put a jumper on and I used to live in Britain!
People are looking fairly dissinterested in the stands but then again I suppose you don't want to get too excited on Day 1. This is a test match.
a slight delay in the results while the photo finish examines a race closely
Race 37, Lane 2 just won by a country mile. Very impressive
The issue holding up the finish was an absolute dead heat on race 33. Don't see that very often. Apparently you could not even split them by a pixel

It is 1 1/2 laps of the course
the crowds getting into this one. Great to see the small U12s really getting into it
Here is the photo finish of the dead heat
K4 18 Final now on the course
Big push by lane 5 but just a bit too late. And Lane 3 capsized 10metres before the finish
Thanks Geoff. That will be updated.
